So, I think I may have tried out just about every art app for the iPad that I can reasonably get my hands on. One of my favorites so far is Kiwipixel's Inspire - no, it doesn't have layers yet, but seriously, people, SERIOUSLY, it works like Corel Painter. Beautifully responsive and real-media-mimicing brush strokes.

The only downfall? It's an iPhone app, so the resolution on an iPad leaves something to be desired.

BUT! ta-da! Sneak info released through the mailing list - Inspire Pro, designed to be native to the iPad, will be released on the app store this Saturday, for an intro sale price of $0.99! The sale is supposed to be short lived, after which it will go to full price ($7.99). Personally, I'd still totally be willing to pay full price for it (can't wait, eeee!) but if you haven't tried Inspire before and want to give it a swing, well, 99 cents is hard to argue with. iPad users! Go check it out!

Yay! Will definitely get it. If you get a chance to, do you think you could mention when it goes live at the sale price? I don't want to miss it. (WTB wish list function and "new app from this developer" notifications for the app store.)
